OK , as anyone who uses irssi knows, its irritatingly easy to accidently type /win into a channel or miss the / off alltogether, i've created a perl script that detects when you have done this and switches to the window (if it exists), this may not be the best way of doing this, but its the quickest way to solve a major annoyance for now, FYI, its based upon the original oops.pl script thats available from scripts.irssi.org, I've just added a section to deal with /win mistakes.
Any comments on this would be appreciated though.

For all those who know me, it appears that im an idiot - I've managed to break a bone in my foot (if u really want to know how, i suggest u ask me on IRC), so it means im stuck in one place now - fs.
Ah well, suppose its more time for IRC Projects (FUN).
Okay, so people have convinced me to do it, i'm going to be creating a version of IRCu that supports the following Features by default: Halfops (Enabled Via F Line), StripColor (+S) NoColor (+c) No Channel Notices (+N) No CTCP's (+C) Vhosts able to be site other than defaults by services. (Defaults to standard if one not supplied), The Ircd Version will also include support for Delayed Joins. (Backported from ircu2.10.12) (There May be Other Features added to this, i'll post more as people approach me). Unfortunately this will also mean that i'll need to create a copy of the popular GNUWorld services, to include support for all these, however i firmly believe that GNUWorld needs some work (It Still uses a depreciated interface for Database Access for example), so i'll be doing some major work on this to bring it up to a sufficient level where i am happy with it (I am a perfectionist), and this may include giving it a mysql interface in the process: it depends where the mood takes me i suppose.
Also, i plan to create an addition to mod.cservice (within GNUWorld) that makes it possible to support Virtual Nicknames, e.g. It Joins Channels as a NickName Other than the default (This has been requested to me multiple times).
Another module called mod.gameServ is planned as well, but more about that in future posts.
I'll keep ya'll up to date.

Seems theyre still having problems getting rid of the Debian etch RC bugs.
Theyre delaying the freeze on etch until later this month / beginning of november.
Which means a delay to the full stable release of etch cries

W00t , finally got IPV6 setup on both my local server (w/ radvd so ipv6 addresses automatically get allocated to my machines ) , and my remote server.
Decided to use btexact for the local server, allthough they have some very funky configurations. (Plan to move to xs26 as soon as my account gets authorised (cheers to hats from Ng for that tip off)).
Remote server uses sixxs (thank god for havin pre-registered a RIPE id), mainly because i'm only 6ms from my local POP!
Will setup some IPV6 services soon, one thing i find amusing tho is asking somone to trace an ipv6 ip, and theyre like , WTF how the hell do i trace that.
Ah well , will let you know how i get on.
Laters!

Right as anyone who knows me will tell u, i'm paranoid , and i'm very tight about what packages get installed on my server.
Imagemagick is one of the peices of software that is a pain in the ass because of its reliance on X.
I've compiled my own packages of Imagemagick without XPM.
They should install on both etch and unstable , and are designed to replace the current imagemagick packages available from the debian repository.
If anyone wants them , shout.

Debian package maintainer has released a new package, that fixes the segfault on /quit bug , amongst other things , therefore i've removed my version of the package.
The new package is currently in unstable , but should work with no problem on etch.

Aha , i see , to enable CCID Support (smartcards etc) , libusb is required ...
For a server tho , i don't see why this would be used so i've recompiled gnupg , without libusb ... i have no use for smartcards or CCID .
If you want the package , gimme a shout via email archer@priorityonline.net.
Why is it the gnupg package relies on libusb ? I can see no reason for it being as such , i can compile gnupg , without libusb fine.
Strange , Just Strange ...

Right , i've recompiled the irssi package myself the main addition is the patch by Chris moore : Its compiled against libperl 5.8.8-3.
Edit 28th Apr, Removed links to my copy of irssi, new package is in unstable
The Packages should work on both etch (testing) and unstable .
The Source and Diff and dsc files are located as well , if anyone wants them , PM me .
The Package is signed by myself , if u really want my public key , its found in quite a few keyservers . including http://keyserver1.pgp.com

Appears Debian has a broken irssi package, there has been a patch raised against it but the maintainer hasn't updated the package in either testing or unstable.
For More Details go Here: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/irssi-text/+bug/26106
I'm going to rebuild the Debian package myself , and upload it here , because its a very annoying bug.
